Basic Arabic Grammar course

It has been Narrated by `Uthman(RA) that, The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “The best among you (Muslims) are those who learn the Qur’an and teach it.” (Bukhari)
Course Description
Allah ﷻ chose Arabic as the liturgical language of Islam. Thus, the Quran, hadeeth and all Islamic teachings were provided in Arabic. It was chosen out of all the languages in the world, used in the past, present and future. This fact alone should suffice as a reason to learn Arabic, especially since this has been confirmed in the Quran:
“Indeed, We have sent it down as an Arabic Qur’an that you might understand.” (Quran, 12:2)
Arabic is a really important language to study, the Arabic language itself is part of Islaam, and knowing Arabic is an obligatory duty. If it is a duty to understand the Quran and Sunnah, and they cannot be understood without knowing Arabic, then the means that is needed to fulfill the duty is also obligatory.

Etiquettes and Rules of Learning Quran

We learn from the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) and from the traditions of his companions (Sahaba (R.A)) that Qur’an should be recited with esteem and concentration of heart and mind. Muslims when memorize or learn Qur’an, they need to keep revising it so that they do not forget it because it is considered as sin to forget Quran after acquiring its knowledge. Allah (s.w.t) has made it compulsory on us to learn knowledge of Quran and impart it to others.
  1. It is one of the etiquettes that a person is in state of Wudu (ablution) while reciting and the place is free of nijasat (impurities).
  2. It is the responsibility on a Muslim to correct the mistakes of other Muslim when he/she is doing mistakes while reading Qur’an.
  3. One should learn from a teacher who has proficient knowledge of Quran with Tajweed and Tafsir so that we get better in understanding Quran.
  4. While reading the Qur’an, understanding its content and pondering over it are not-to-be-missed ingredients of the whole process.

We need to make dua that O Allah(s.w.t)! grant us with the best understanding of your holy book Qur’an and guide us to the straight path, Ameen.

رب يسر ولا تعسر رب تمم بالخير

“O Allah! Make it easy, and do not make it difficult. O Allah! Make it end well.”

Ameen

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

وَلَقَدْ يَسَّرْنَا الْقُرْآنَ لِلذِّكْرِ فَهَلْ مِنْ مُدَّكِرٍ

And We have indeed made the Qur´an easy to understand and remember: then is there any that will receive admonition? Quran 54:40

I found  this on the net

One must resist the notion that one cannot begin a personal study of the Quran until he or she has mastered Arabic. My argument against this is in its circularity. One can learn Arabic as he or she moves methodically through the root words of the Quran and read how they are used in the Scripture.

Of course, to pass judgment on what certain verses mean, especially if they pertain to sacred law, has very high standards. That’s not what I’m talking about.

My message today is: demystify how to approach the Quran and its words, and then follow that up with methodical study, whether alone or with a group.

Either way, get started
